still running, still trucking

I've ditched the couch to 5K program; it was useful until a couple of weeks ago or so.  If I recall correctly, the workout went from 3 X 5 min to a mix of interval lengths in order to accommodate both slightly longer intervals and longer overall running time (6-6-4?)   Whatever.  My watch won't program that.  I just ran 2 X 8 min, and then 2 X 9 min, and then got tired of reprogramming altogether and kept running.  Now I'm up to about 2.5 miles, super slow and with whatever breaks the dog needs, and I'm still too heavy and can't get into the zone, but I'm getting there.
